Role Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include utilizing your extensive knowledge to enhance the growth and innovation of our intricate, precision-engineered ball bearing products. You will lead and support a team, ensuring adherence to the highest standards in part measurement, visual inspection, calibration, and the development of measurement masters. Furthermore, you will play a vital role in mentoring your team, aiding New Product Development, conducting failure analysis, and executing process audits, all while promoting a collaborative and innovative workplace.

  • Assist teams in incoming inspection, measurement room operations, and gauge calibration, applying your hands-on expertise.
  • Employ your experience to manage tasks such as part measurement, visual inspection, calibration, and the creation of measurement masters.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to address discrepancies and compile dimensional data for FAIR reports.
  • Investigate new measurement technologies with the team, enhance the capabilities of existing equipment (CMM, Talysurf, etc.), and design custom fixtures for complex components based on your practical knowledge.
  • Support New Product Development, conduct failure analysis, and perform process audits while mentoring your team.

Candidate Profile:

Education:

  • Master's Degree or equivalent in a STEM field such as Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Physics, with a strong academic foundation.
  • Languages: Fluent English is essential; additional languages are advantageous (German preferred).

Skills:

  • Extensive experience in measurement and inspection roles, with a proven record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Familiarity with precision components and micron-level tolerances across various materials.
  • Driven by a profound understanding of practical measurement principles and a passion for problem-solving.
  • Enthusiastic about learning new technologies, expanding team expertise, and building a flexible, responsive department.
  • Strong communication skills, thriving in a collaborative environment and inspiring others.
