Job Summary

Simpson Recruitment Services is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality in our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct first article and in-process inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Perform goods inwards inspection to verify the quality of incoming materials.
  • Manage and control drawings and paperwork, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Develop and maintain inspection documents, including non-conformance reports and resolution logs.
  • Ensure measurement equipment is calibrated and maintained in accordance with established procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and resolve quality issues.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances.
  • Basic knowledge of measuring tools and equipment.
  • Familiarity with digital measurement machines, such as Micro height and CMM.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality focus.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in quality assurance or a related field.
  • Experience working with tight tolerance or safety-critical parts.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and audit requirements.

What We Offer:

A competitive salary range of £30,000 to £35,000, depending on experience, plus opportunities for training and career advancement in a growing company.
