Role Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include utilizing your extensive knowledge to enhance the growth and innovation of our intricate, precision-engineered ball bearing products. You will lead and mentor a team, ensuring exceptional standards in part measurement, visual inspection, calibration, and the development of measurement masters. Additionally, you will be instrumental in supporting New Product Development, conducting failure analyses, and performing process audits, all while promoting a collaborative and innovative workplace.
- Assist teams in incoming inspections, measurement activities, and gauge calibration, applying your hands-on expertise.
- Leverage your experience for tasks such as part measurement, visual inspections, calibration, and creating measurement masters.
- Collaborate with suppliers to address discrepancies and compile dimensional data for First Article Inspection reports.
- Investigate new measurement technologies with the team, enhance the capabilities of existing equipment (CMM, Talysurf, etc.), and design custom fixtures for complex components based on practical insights.
- Support New Product Development, conduct failure analyses, and perform process audits while mentoring your team.
Candidate Profile:
Education:
- Master's Degree or equivalent in a STEM field such as Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Physics, with a strong academic foundation.
- Languages: Proficiency in English is essential; additional languages are a plus (German preferred).
Skills:
- Extensive experience in measurement and inspection roles, demonstrating a consistent record of high-quality output.
- Familiarity with precision components and micron-level tolerances across various materials.
- A profound understanding of practical measurement principles and a commitment to problem-solving.
- A willingness to learn new technologies, enhance team expertise, and develop a flexible, responsive department.
- Strong communication skills, thriving in a collaborative environment and inspiring colleagues.
