Role Responsibilities:

Your expertise will be pivotal in enhancing the growth and innovation of our intricate, precision-engineered ball bearing products. You will lead and mentor a team, ensuring excellence in part measurement, visual inspection, calibration, and the development of measurement standards. Your role will also encompass supporting New Product Development, conducting failure analyses, and performing process audits, all while fostering a collaborative and innovative work culture.

  • Assist teams in incoming inspections, measurement activities, and gauge calibration, utilizing your practical knowledge.
  • Apply your experience to manage tasks related to part measurement, visual inspection, calibration, and measurement standard creation.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to address discrepancies and compile dimensional data for First Article Inspection reports.
  • Investigate new measurement technologies, enhance the capabilities of existing equipment (CMM, Talysurf, etc.), and design custom fixtures for complex components.
  • Support New Product Development initiatives, conduct failure analyses, and perform process audits while mentoring your team.

Candidate Profile:

Education:

  • Master's degree or equivalent in a STEM field such as Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Physics, with a strong academic foundation.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages, particularly German, is advantageous.

Skills:

  • Extensive experience in measurement and inspection roles, demonstrating a consistent record of high-quality output.
  • Familiarity with precision components and micron-level tolerances across diverse materials.
  • Strong understanding of practical measurement principles and a passion for problem-solving.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and expand the team's capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, thriving in a collaborative environment and inspiring colleagues.
