Housing Options and Homeless Prevention Leadership Opportunity

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to lead our Housing Options and Homeless Prevention service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering advice on housing options, preventing homelessness, and undertaking statutory assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the Housing Options, Move-On, and Homeless Prevention Teams in line with the Council's HR policies.
  2. Represent the service at public and internal forums, actively seeking to improve the council's service delivery.
  3. Implement and embed relevant policies, strategic actions, and objectives within the operation of the team.
  4. Manage and deliver panels to enable key groups to access suitable housing and support.
  5. Lead the team in setting up, chairing, and managing meetings and forums as required.
  6. Monitor performance and evaluate progress, identifying case risks that require mitigating action.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of housing options and homeless prevention, as well as excellent leadership and management skills. You will also need to be able to work effectively with social care services to support the move-on of families to suitable accommodation.
