Job Description

Trailer Sales and Marketing Specialist – North of England

Montracon Limited, a leading manufacturer of trailers, is seeking a highly skilled Trailer Sales and Marketing Specialist to join their successful sales team, ideally based in the North of England.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate sales activities within the area of responsibility to ensure the business meets its company sales targets and objectives, maintaining client relationships at the highest levels.
  • Manage the development of the sales function within the area of responsibility.
  • Demonstrate a good sales pipeline to the Senior Management team.
  • Involvement in all technical matters, as well as the overall point of contact for sales enquiries.
  • Liaise with clients on a daily basis.
  • Secure customer commitment in specifying the company's products and services, and manage the complete sales lifecycle.
  • Provide first-class end-to-end customer support, from enquiry through to installation and operation of products and services packages.
  • Provide customer quotations as required, in line with margin targets.
  • Gather market intelligence from customers to influence and improve company sales strategy.
  • Ensure the customer database is maintained at all times.
  • Maintain and increase sales of company products.
  • Achieve targets and goals set for the area.
  • Establish, maintain, and expand the customer base, identifying new accounts.
  • Servicing the needs of existing customers.
  • Increase business opportunities through various routes to market.
  • Support the development and implementation of marketing material and events.
  • Achieve regional sales operational objectives by contributing regional sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
  • Prepare and complete action plans, implementing customer-service standards, resolving problems, identifying trends, determining regional sales system improvements, and implementing change.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks.

Ideal Candidate:

  • A sales professional with a proven track record and knowledge of fleet operators.
  • A background within a fleet sales role is preferred.
  • Vehicle technical knowledge would be a distinct advantage.
  • A technical understanding or appreciation of the commercial fleet sector is highly desirable.
  • A strong communicator with the ability to effectively build and maintain business relationships at all levels.
  • Pro-active in identifying and generating new business opportunities against sales and profitability targets.
