About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Market Lead and Strategic Account Manager to join our team at Oerlikon Group. As a key member of our surface solutions business, you will play a crucial role in driving growth and profitability in the aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product and Service Portfolio Definition: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the aerospace industry's product and service needs, identifying opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Market Intelligence and Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to inform business decisions, identifying trends and opportunities for Oerlikon Group to capitalize on.
  • Value-Added Selling Approach: Develop and implement a value-added selling approach that aligns with Oerlikon Group's sales excellence strategy, driving revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Customer and Brand Value Proposition: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop a customer and brand value proposition that supports Oerlikon Group's market positioning and drives business growth.
  • Project Steering: Lead and drive key global projects in the aerospace industry, ensuring successful project delivery and maximizing business outcomes.
Strategic Account Management
  • Account Ownership: Take ownership of assigned key OEMs and first-tier accounts, driving strategic initiatives and maximizing growth and profitability.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction, working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • C-Level Networking: Establish and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives in the aerospace industry, driving top-down and bottom-up innovation.
  • Global Account Strategy: Develop and execute a global account strategy to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction, working closely with local sales and product managers.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and development support to local sales and product managers, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Contract Management: Manage contracts, support non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), long-term agreements (LTAs), and joint development agreements (JDAs), ensuring compliance and maximizing business outcomes.
  • Pricing and Proposal Development: Support complex pricing proposals across regions and business units, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing.
Requirements
  • Strong Industry Knowledge: Possess a deep understanding of the aerospace industry, including its trends, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Commercial Experience: Proven commercial track record in a multinational company in a technical industry, with a strong focus on sales growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Business and Marketing Strategy Development: Experience in developing and executing business and marketing strategies on an international level, with a focus on driving sales growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills, with a proven track record in managing complex projects in different locations and cultures.
  • International and Cross-Cultural Experience: Highly motivated, self-driven, open, and positive mindset, with experience in international and cross-cultural business environments.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English is compulsory, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers across the globe.
