Aerospace Market Lead and Strategic Account Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for an Aerospace Industry Market Lead & Strategic Account Manager within our surface solutions business. As an Aerospace Industry Market Lead, you will work closely with the Chief Strategy Officer and have input into a sustainable Market Strategy for Oerlikon Surface Solutions.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a product and service portfolio strategy for the industry market, regions, key accounts, and other customers.
  • In collaboration with the sales excellence team, identify the processes and tools needed to ensure the efficient operation and maximization of customer experience, including contract management and market intelligence tools.
  • Employ a value-added selling approach and business model aligned with Sales excellence.
  • Work with Marketing to develop a customer and brand value proposition that supports and builds Oerlikon's market positioning.
  • Lead project steering, including driving key global OSS projects in the respective industry.

Strategic Account Manager - Global

  • Account ownership for assigned key OEMs/first tiers.
  • Drive strategic initiatives into the respective countries to achieve maximized growth and profitability in the account.
  • C-level networking in the SAM – drive top-down/bottom-up innovation.
  • Develop a global account strategy to drive sales growth.
  • Train local sales/product managers, support, and coach Key Account Managers.
  • Manage contracts, support NDAs, LTAs, JDAs.
  • Support complex pricing proposals across regions/business units.
  • Strong knowledge and existing network in the Aerospace Industry.
  • Proven commercial track record in a multinational company in a technical industry.
  • Business and marketing strategy development experience on an international level.
  • Excellent project management skills with a proven track record in managing complex projects in different locations and cultures.
  • Highly motivated, self-driven, open, and positive mindset with experience in international and cross-cultural business environments.
  • Flexible to substantial international travel.
  • English language compulsory.
