Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Catering Assistant to join our busy front of house team at Blue Arrow. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and operational kitchen, and assisting our chefs with food preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the kitchen is clean and operational, including cleaning food preparation equipment, floors, and other kitchen tools or areas.
  • Wash utensils and dishes, and store them appropriately.
  • Sort, store, and distribute ingredients under instruction.
  • Assist chefs with food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, cutting, and cooking food stuffs.
  • Dispose of rubbish correctly.
  • Organize linen and laundry.
  • May also be responsible for preparing ingredients with guidance.
  • Receive deliveries of new food and drink stock items, checking off items and storing them correctly.
  • Use the till to serve customers and provide excellent customer service.

  • Experience using point of sale systems and cash handling.
