Role Specifics
This role is ideal for a proactive technician with management experience, demonstrating initiative and a commitment to continuous improvement. You will be responsible for:
- Collaborating with the Medication Safety Officer Pharmacist to uphold, monitor, and enhance the safe utilization of medications within the pharmacy and across the organization.
- Working alongside the Deputy Chief Pharmacist to ensure adherence to principles of effective governance within the department.
- Providing professional leadership and support for all aspects of pharmacy procurement and distribution services, ensuring compliance with legislative, national, and local guidelines.
- Managing and supporting lead pharmacy technicians in distribution and procurement.
- Contributing to the broader pharmacy service and its development in response to patient care needs, driving continuous quality enhancement.
- Ensuring that outsourced outpatient pharmacy services are delivered and evaluated against key performance indicators.
In this capacity, you will work closely with a supportive team of pharmacy professionals, including the Medication Safety Officer and Deputy Chief Pharmacist, as well as other key stakeholders within the pharmacy department.
We are looking for an experienced GPhC-registered technician ready to take on a more senior position, with a proven track record of success within the pharmacy sector.
Working Hours
This role requires participation in a flexible working pattern, including late shifts, bank holidays, and weekend duties.
