As a Field Service Technician - Safety & Communications, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our safety and communications business. Your responsibilities will involve traveling to various locations, delivering and collecting equipment, and demonstrating its functionality to customers.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivering and collecting equipment from clients while conducting necessary checks and administrative tasks.
  • Ensuring all company vehicles are driven safely and professionally, performing routine vehicle safety checks.
  • Issuing safety and communication equipment and materials to clients on-site.
  • Demonstrating the operation of safety equipment to customers during delivery.
  • Diagnosing and resolving equipment issues as needed.
  • Adhering to and promoting health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with equipment regulations.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with all members of the Operations team.
  • Conducting pre-hire checks and functionality tests to support branch workloads.
  • Completing all reporting and administrative tasks in accordance with company standards.
  • Achieving key performance indicators within a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintaining company standards while working under pressure, prioritizing safety at all times.
  • Promoting our rental services and benefits to clients, identifying opportunities for additional revenue.
  • Collaborating with operations to promptly resolve customer issues to their satisfaction.
  • Conducting audits and compliance tasks.
What You Bring:
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • A C1E license is highly desirable; however, a minimum requirement of 3.5 Tonne (Class B) is necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and represent the company professionally and positively.
  • Strong numerical and analytical abilities, coupled with meticulous attention to detail.
  • A flexible approach to working hours, as early starts and late finishes may be required.
  • A commitment to safety-first practices and compliance with current health and safety legislation and company policies.
  • Previous experience in the safety and communications industry is beneficial but not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided.
  • A willingness to learn and utilize product knowledge, demonstrating a keen understanding of our equipment range and the broader Sunbelt business.
  • Exceptional communication skills, enabling you to build strong relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
