Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Autism Support Assistant to join our team at EdEx Education Recruitment. As an Autism Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing support to pupils with various Special Educational Needs in a Primary School setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a Primary School setting.
  • Assist teachers in developing and implementing personalized learning plans for pupils with ASD.
  • Support pupils with daily living skills, such as personal care and hygiene.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with pupils, teachers, and parents to ensure a smooth and successful learning experience.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience working with pupils with ASD.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced Primary School environment.
