Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to join our team at Teach Now. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students across Key Stages 1 and 2, supporting their educational journey and ensuring they have the tools and encouragement they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students during classroom activities and help them engage with the curriculum.
  • Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and work closely with the SENCO to track progress and adjust strategies as required.
  • Provide personalized learning support and implement intervention strategies for students with autism.
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to ensure a comprehensive support system for students with special educational needs.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience and/or qualifications in special educational needs, with a focus on Autism Spectrum Disorder.
  • Strong understanding of ASD and effective strategies for supporting students with autism.
  • Familiarity with current SEN practices and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and parents.
  • Patient, empathetic, and passionate about working with children with special educational needs.
