Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Prospero Teaching. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs in a secondary school environment.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and students to provide individualized support and guidance. You will be responsible for building a rapport with students who require additional support and implementing strategies to nurture, engage, and raise attainment in their secondary years.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the class teacher and students during lessons
  • Build a rapport with students who require additional support and implement strategies to nurture, engage, and raise attainment
  • Run 1:1 tuition sessions to support students in their subject specialism
  • Run intervention groups in your subject area to build students' knowledge and understanding
What We Offer:

We offer a comprehensive training program, including safeguarding and behavior management, to ensure you have the skills and confidence to excel in this role. You will also have access to our in-house Training and Development Team, who will provide ongoing support and guidance.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a degree and a passion for working with students with special educational needs. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a team and have excellent communication skills.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is £90-£100 per day, and you will be required to work full-time hours, 8am-4pm, Monday to Friday. You will also be required to run an after-school club once a week until 4:30pm and attend a departmental meeting once a week.
