Employment Type:
Full Time, Long Term
Welcome to our dynamic and inclusive primary educational institution. Our school features modern amenities and expansive grounds, including well-maintained green spaces, sports fields, and dedicated recreational areas.
We take pride in offering a comprehensive curriculum that emphasizes literacy, numeracy, and creative subjects. Our after-school programs are varied, encompassing arts, sports, and drama, ensuring that every student finds something enjoyable.
We are recognized for our dedication to supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly those on the Autism Spectrum.
Our team is highly trained to foster an environment where every child can flourish, with facilities that include sensory rooms and quiet areas tailored to individual requirements.
We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Teaching Assistant with expertise in supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), especially non-verbal learners, for a full-time, long-term position that is vital to our commitment to exceptional support.
This opportunity has arisen due to the retirement of the previous staff member, and we are eager to welcome a new team member who can contribute fresh ideas and enthusiasm to our SEN department.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with students requiring additional assistance to engage with the curriculum and reach their educational objectives, all while being part of a supportive team.
You will primarily support a small group of students with ASD across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, with manageable class sizes that facilitate personalized attention and effective support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of tailored learning plans.
- Utilize relevant qualifications or training in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or a related field.
- Contribute to a positive learning environment that promotes inclusivity and excellence.
Benefits:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students with ASD, working within a collaborative team that values professional growth and teamwork.
You will be part of a warm and welcoming educational community dedicated to inclusivity and excellence, all while enjoying a pleasant environment with easy access to local amenities and excellent public transport links.
If you possess the passion and expertise to excel in this role, we would be delighted to hear from you. All candidates must hold the appropriate qualifications and training for this position.
Commitment to Safeguarding:
Teach Now is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This position will be subject to an Enhanced DBS Clearance.
