About the Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant (ASD Specialist) with Teach Now, you will be a vital part of our team, working closely with children on the autism spectrum to help them navigate both academic and social challenges. Your role will involve providing 1:1 support, assisting in group activities, and ensuring students can participate fully in school life.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individualized education plans (IEPs), deliver tailored interventions, and help students develop key life skills.

Provide dedicated support to children with autism spectrum disorder in both 1:1 and group settings.

Assist in the development and implementation of IEPs for students, ensuring their educational and emotional needs are met.

Help students develop independence, communication, and social skills through structured activities.

Encourage participation in academic and extracurricular activities, including art, sports, and outdoor recreation.

Requirements:

Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder or other special educational needs.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the school team.

A Level 3 qualification in childcare, education, or SEN (preferred).
