Teespro Recruitment is collaborating exclusively with a prominent Engineering Consultancy that is experiencing significant growth and demand. They are seeking to appoint a skilled Senior Engineering Team Leader on a permanent basis.

Please note: This position offers 100% remote work.

Key Responsibilities for the Senior Engineering Team Leader:

  • Oversee, manage, and coordinate all design initiatives to ensure that the objectives of the design department are met within the designated time frame and budget.
  • Facilitate the review and endorsement process of engineering and design outputs as necessary.
  • Establish work plans and staffing for each design project, ensuring the appropriate assignment of design personnel.
  • Engage with design staff to outline work plans and allocate duties, responsibilities, and authority.
  • Evaluate status reports prepared by design personnel and adjust schedules or plans as needed.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with other functional and departmental managers to understand the essential aspects and requirements for the development of design personnel, ensuring they are well-informed of design objectives and achievements.
  • Ensure that activities align with and integrate organizational standards for quality management, health and safety, legal requirements, environmental policies, and overall duty of care.
  • Formulate policies regarding duty of care and corporate responsibility, guiding direction and strategy.
  • Manage and develop direct reports effectively.
  • Control departmental expenditures within approved budgets.
  • Develop and implement strategies and processes aimed at delivering efficient and effective services.
  • Direct and integrate multiple design projects, ensuring cohesive and effective design efforts that support the company's mission, goals, and strategic plan.
  • Establish policies, strategies, and operational objectives.
  • Participate in and oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of individual design objectives and both short and long-term plans; create tracking and evaluation programs to assist in achieving established design goals.
  • Support the review and approval process of all engineering deliverables as required.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Extensive design experience across various sectors, including Offshore, Subsea, Marine, and Onshore Structural Design & Fabrication.
  • Demonstrated engineering-related business experience and skills.
  • Exceptional supervisory and leadership qualities.
  • Proven ability to manage a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and support staff effectively.
  • Skilled in identifying resource requirements and managing them efficiently.
  • Proficient in conceptualizing innovative engineering solutions.
  • Able to coach and mentor members of the design team, workshop, and project engineering staff.
