Role: Group Clinical and Governance Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Group Clinical and Governance Manager to join our team at Jorja Healthcare. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of clinical care and governance within our medical clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Clinical Leadership:
  • Provide strategic leadership and guidance to clinical teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Oversee clinical operations, including nursing workflow, staffing levels, and scheduling to optimise clinical efficiency and maintain standards of care.
Clinical Governance:
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and quality assurance measures within the medical clinic.
  • Develop and implement clinical governance policies and procedures to promote a culture of safety, quality, and excellence in patient care.
Quality Improvement:
  • Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and clinical efficiency.
  • Analyse KPI data to identify trends, evaluate performance, and implement performance improvement initiatives.
Clinical Marketing:
  • Work closely with the Marketing Department to develop and implement clinical marketing strategies to promote clinical services and enhance brand awareness.
  • Collaborate on initiatives to attract patients to the medical clinic and improve patient engagement.
Infection Prevention and Control:
  • Oversee infection prevention and control measures to minimise the risk of infections within the medical clinic.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance with infection control protocols and regulatory standards.
Clinical Training and Development:
  • Coordinate and facilitate training sessions for clinical staff on the use of crash trolleys and oxygen administration protocols.
  • Ensure staff competency in emergency response procedures and life-saving interventions.
Incident Reporting and Investigation:
  • Chair and lead the Incident Reporting and Investigation Committee to investigate adverse events, incidents, and near misses.
  • Develop and implement strategies to prevent recurrence of incidents and promote a culture of safety.
Resuscitation and Emergency Preparedness:
  • Conduct regular inspections of resuscitation equipment and facilities to ensure readiness for emergency situations.
  • Coordinate resuscitation drills and simulations to assess staff preparedness and identify areas for improvement.
Meetings and Committees:
  • Organise and facilitate multidisciplinary team meetings (MDTs), including agenda preparation, documentation, and follow-up actions.
  • Coordinate meetings of the Medical Advisory Committee (MAC) to discuss clinical governance issues, quality improvement initiatives, and strategic planning.
Audit and Compliance:
  • Monitor the execution of relevant audits by team members and ensure compliance with audit schedules and protocols.
  • Identify any gaps in audit completion and take proactive measures to ensure all required audits are conducted promptly.
Staff Appraisals and Development:
  • Establish and oversee the process for conducting performance appraisals for all staff members under your management.
  • Schedule and facilitate appraisal meetings to provide feedback, set goals, and support professional development initiatives.

Qualifications:

Diploma in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field; degree preferred. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or equivalent healthcare professional.

Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting, with demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience. Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and clinical governance principles. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and implement quality improvement initiatives. Proven track record of promoting a culture of safety, quality, and excellence in patient care. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
