About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Audit Director to join our team at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our clinical governance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Leadership and Management: Provide strategic leadership and management to the clinical audit and quality improvement team, ensuring effective implementation of clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives.
  2. Clinical Audit and Quality Improvement: Develop and implement clinical audit and quality improvement plans, ensuring compliance with national and local standards, and identifying areas for improvement.
  3. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with senior staff, clinicians, and other stakeholders to facilitate clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives, providing expert advice, guidance, and training as needed.
  4. Project Management: Lead and manage projects to improve clinical audit and quality improvement processes, ensuring timely delivery and effective outcomes.
  5. Quality Priorities: Contribute to the achievement of quality priorities as detailed in the Trust's annual Quality Account, ensuring alignment with national and local standards.
  6. Partnerships and Collaborations: Develop and maintain partnerships with external organizations, such as the Getting It Right First Time programme, to ensure effective participation and compliance with national and local standards.
  7. Staff Development and Support: Participate in regular staff appraisal, identifying areas of development and training needs, and developing appropriate programmes of training and support.
