About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Case Manager to join our team at It's a People Business. As a key member of our HR Consultancy, you will play a vital role in providing expert advice and support to our clients on a wide range of Employee Relations matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Expert Advice: Offer accurate and timely advice to clients on Employee Relations matters, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practice.
  • Manage ER Cases: Handle administrative tasks, create necessary letters, forms, and reports to support clients, and ensure that business methods, procedures, and practices are followed to the required standard.
  • First Line Call Management: Assess client needs, provide sound and legislative compliant advice, and seek clarification and guidance from Consultants as needed.
  • Letter Creation: Develop employee relation letters for clients based on their specific needs, such as disciplinary/investigation invite letters, outcome letters, or letters of concern.
  • Policy Development: Create bespoke policies, procedures, and people guidelines for clients in conjunction with agreed work priorities by Directors and HR Consultants.
  • Support with Meetings: Assist with minute taking at disciplinary meetings and investigations, and support clients with meetings as required.
  • Exit Interviews and Return to Work Interviews: Conduct exit interviews and return to work interviews with employees on behalf of our clients.
  • Training Support: Support Consultants in creating tailored training content within PowerPoint to meet client needs and assist with organizing and delivering training courses as required.
  • Liaison with Payroll Bureaus: Liaise with Payroll Bureaus where required, responding to payroll queries from employees to a successful conclusion.
Requirements for the Role
  • Level 5 CIPD Qualified: Hold a Level 5 CIPD qualification and have numerous years' experience in the role of ER Advisor or HR Advisor.
  • Attention to Detail: Possess a good attention to detail to ensure client work is completed to a high standard.
  • Knowledge of Employment Legislation: Have a good knowledge of employment legislation and understand the importance of using relevant experts and other sources of information to provide solutions for clients.
  • Communication Skills: Be articulate with the gravitas to communicate with business owners and management teams, providing guidance and advice on best practice, trends, and current/topical employment-related matters.
  • Proactive and Can-Do Attitude: Possess a proactive and 'can-do' attitude with a focus on ensuring all client needs are met in a professional and timely manner.
  • Tenacious and Hard-Working: Be tenacious and hard-working by nature, focused on delivering an exceptional service to existing and future clients.
