Position Overview

Join our dynamic team at Ultra I&C's Communications division, where we are seeking a dedicated professional with extensive CNC expertise to enhance our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes to manufacture high-precision components in accordance with engineering specifications.
  • Utilize vertical machining centers to produce components, demonstrating proficiency in CAM software and G-Code.
  • Collaborate with the Machine Shop Team Leader to develop and execute machining strategies that align with our business objectives.
  • Engage in product manufacturing while providing valuable insights for both new and existing projects.
  • Work within a cohesive, multi-disciplinary team, focusing on the operation and maintenance of CNC mills and lathes.
  • Occasionally operate milling machines as needed.
  • Interpret engineering drawings to accurately assess dimensions and tolerances of finished products.
  • Efficiently sequence operations, tooling, programming, and setup requirements for optimal component manufacturing.
  • Coordinate with Quality Assurance on non-conformance issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Maintain traceability of raw materials and their usage on production orders.
  • Identify, resolve, and implement necessary changes for machining-related challenges.
  • Collaborate with the Manufacturing team to ensure products meet established standards.
  • Keep production documentation current, precise, and legible.
  • Safeguard information in accordance with the Information Security Policy.
  • Potential for offline programming using CAM software in the future.
Essential Skills
  • Proficient in CNC lathe and milling machine programming, setup, and operation.
  • Knowledgeable about speeds and feeds for materials such as aluminum and stainless steel.
  • Familiar with programming languages including FANUC, ProtoTRAK, and G-Code.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience with Haas, XYZ, or Bridgeport machines.
  • Manual turning and milling capabilities.
  • Familiarity with 3D modeling software (Solidworks HSM, Fusion 360, or OneCNC).
  • Basic experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
Security Clearance

Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain BPSS level security clearance.
