Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our Breast Cancer Nursing team as a Breast Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist. This role is integral to our multidisciplinary approach, ensuring that patients receive exceptional care throughout their cancer journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • As a Breast Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will collaborate with a diverse team to provide comprehensive support to patients diagnosed with breast cancer, guiding them from diagnosis through treatment and recovery.
  • Utilizing your expertise in surgical and oncology treatment options, you will play a vital role in managing patient care pathways.
  • Your advanced communication skills will be essential in educating patients and their families about treatment modalities and support services.
  • You will have the autonomy to deliver nurse-led services while working closely with our lead breast cancer nurses.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Registered Nurse with NMC certification.
  • Post-registration qualification in Oncology or a commitment to pursue such training.
  • A minimum of five years of nursing experience, including two years at a senior level.
  • Proven experience in managing breast cancer patients or relevant oncology experience.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster relationships with patients and the healthcare team.
  • In-depth knowledge of current clinical practices and treatment options for breast cancer.
  • Ability to communicate complex information effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in IT and clinical assessment skills.
