Clinical Nurse Specialist for Breast Cancer - Band 7
An exceptional opportunity has emerged to become a part of the St Barts Breast Cancer team. We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Breast Cancer CNS team in a fixed-term role. This position offers comprehensive training and development, along with the potential for career advancement, supported by both surgical and oncology divisions.
Main Responsibilities
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, your primary duties will include:
- Functioning as an independent practitioner, effectively coordinating and delivering specialized nursing services in Breast Cancer.
- Managing a diverse caseload of patients while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based nursing care and oncological management.
- Providing clinical and social support to ensure that patients and their families are well-informed and supported throughout their care journey.
- Leading the advancement of evidence-based clinical nursing practices in alignment with current research and guidelines.
- Establishing effective communication channels within the specialty team to facilitate cohesive multidisciplinary patient management.
- Taking a leading role in the operational enhancement of both inpatient and outpatient services for patients with lung cancer.
- Offering expert guidance and leadership to all team members.
