Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist in Breast Cancer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a pioneering project aimed at increasing representation of ethnic minority women in breast cancer clinical trials.
Main Responsibilities- Support patients with their diagnosis of breast cancer and introduce the concept of clinical research.
- Signpost patients to educational materials on clinical trials and address any queries.
- Navigate patients to breast cancer trials potentially suitable for them.
- Support patients commencing/continuing on breast cancer clinical trials, including aiding with any barriers.
- Work closely with the academic team completing the independent evaluation of the project.
- Be a figurehead for the project and be willing to present and talk to the media.

Person Specification- Minimum five years post-registration experience in a cancer-related area.
- Good working knowledge of Breast Cancer and the treatment pathway.
- Research and clinical trials experience.
- Experience of working with under-represented patient populations.
