Position Overview

Park Crescent Health Centre is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Reception Coordinator with outstanding communication and customer service abilities.

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities.

Previous experience in a medical practice and familiarity with clinical systems is advantageous but not mandatory, as comprehensive training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

The primary purpose of this role is to serve as a liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and administrative staff.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing patient inquiries via phone and in-person interactions.
  • Updating and maintaining patient records within our electronic systems.
  • Collaborating with the clinical team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in the practice's appointment scheduling system.
  • Performing general administrative duties, including patient registration.
  • Ensuring the secure opening and closing of the facility.
  • Handling email correspondence efficiently.

Park Crescent Health Centre is a prominent and busy healthcare facility located centrally, serving a diverse patient population of 13,000 individuals. We provide a comprehensive range of health services, including specialized clinics and support teams.

Our clinical team is extensive, comprising General Practitioners, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, and Mental Health Professionals, all dedicated to delivering high-quality primary care.

Administrative Duties

Responsibilities include:

  • Scheduling appointments in accordance with practice protocols.
  • Assisting patients with inquiries and guiding them on accessing services.
  • Maintaining a professional image for all visitors.
  • Answering incoming calls in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Registering new patients and those requiring urgent care.
  • Communicating patient results in line with practice guidelines.
  • Ensuring the reception area is organized and welcoming.
  • Opening the facility at the start of the day and securing it at the end.

Experience Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • Experience in a customer service role.
  • Proficiency in IT applications.
