About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Microsoft Server Engineer to join our Infrastructure Team at Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust. As an IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our staff by ensuring that our service users' needs are met through the development and maintenance of our core Infrastructure.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist in the implementation of digital innovative solutions throughout the entire process from design to project completion and ongoing support.
  • Develop and support the Trust's core server infrastructure system to meet the needs of our services and external users.
  • Deliver a high standard of server and virtual platform support and communication whilst supporting incidents reported by users within the agreed timescales.
  • Work with 3rd party technical teams to help deliver projects which aim to meet the Trust's digital strategy.
  • Focus on identifying issues with the Trust's core server and virtual infrastructure.
  • Encourage a culture of maintaining the importance of cyber security through maintaining an up-to-date environment and following requirements from the Trust.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable work experience in PC/printer hardware/software installation and troubleshooting.
  • Server Virtualisation.
  • Fundamentals of IP networking.
  • Experience of Windows Operating systems - client and server.
