About the Role:
Kent is seeking a Senior Offshore Pipeline Engineer to contribute to our Engineering & Consulting division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting concept development and feasibility assessments for complex marginal, HPHT, and deep-water subsea projects in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Executing FEED studies for offshore initiatives.
- Developing comprehensive pipeline designs, ensuring optimal material selection, operating and design pressures/temperatures, fatigue resistance, pipeline sizing, and protective measures.
- Evaluating riser/j-tube re-use possibilities and designing retrofit risers.
- Creating pipeline routing and field layout plans.
- Supervising the production of pipeline alignment sheets, platform and shore approaches, crossings, and other relevant drawings.
- Drafting pipeline specifications, data sheets, and material take-offs.
- Preparing specifications and data sheets for bends, flanges, valves, actuators, and fittings.
- Holding an engineering degree (honours or equivalent) in mechanical, structural, civil, naval architecture, or a related engineering discipline.
- Demonstrating a track record of delivering studies and producing clear, concise reports that meet time, cost, and quality standards.
- Possessing knowledge of pipeline constructability, fabrication, and installation.
- Understanding the fundamentals of subsea and pipeline engineering, as well as relevant regulatory frameworks, codes, and standards. Familiarity with global buckling, limit states, and HPHT challenges is advantageous.
- Experience in concept/feasibility design studies and FEED for pipeline projects.
- Knowledge of pipeline testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning processes is a plus.
- Familiarity with cable routing, installation, stability, protection, and crossings is beneficial.
- Experience in designing and assessing CO2 and H2 pipelines is advantageous.
