About the Role:

Kent is seeking a Senior Offshore Pipeline Engineer to join our Engineering & Consulting division, working remotely or from any of our UK offices.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting concept development and feasibility assessments for complex marginal, HPHT, and deep-water subsea projects in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Executing FEED studies for offshore initiatives.
  • Developing comprehensive pipeline designs, ensuring the appropriate selection of materials, operating and design pressures/temperatures, fatigue resistance, pipeline sizing, and protective measures.
  • Evaluating options for riser/j-tube reuse and designing retrofit risers.
  • Formulating pipeline routing and field layouts.
  • Supervising the creation of pipeline alignment sheets, platform and shore approaches, crossings, and other relevant pipeline drawings.
  • Preparing pipeline specifications, data sheets, and material take-offs.
  • Drafting specifications and data sheets for bends, flanges, valves, actuators, and fittings.
  • Holding an engineering degree (honours or equivalent) in mechanical, structural, civil, naval architecture, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Demonstrating a track record of delivering studies and producing clear, concise reports that meet time, cost, and quality targets.
  • Possessing an understanding of pipeline constructability, fabrication, and installation processes.
  • Familiarity with the fundamentals of subsea and pipeline engineering, as well as regulatory frameworks, codes, and standards. Knowledge of global buckling, limit states, and HPHT issues is advantageous.
  • Experience in concept/feasibility design studies and FEED for pipeline projects.
  • Background in pipeline testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities is a plus.
  • Knowledge of cable routing, installation, stability, protection, and crossings is beneficial.
  • Experience in the design and assessment of CO2 and H2 pipelines is an advantage.
  • A self-motivated, enthusiastic, and reliable approach to work is essential.
