We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cable Engineering professional to join our Transmission & Distribution practice. This role is crucial in advancing our mission to deliver impactful energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities

In this position, you will play a vital role in the development and execution of cable systems projects. Your expertise will contribute to bids and proposals and represent the company in client interactions. Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • HVDC/HVAC Cable Design: Conduct cable burial route risk assessments and develop cable protection systems for offshore and subsea applications.
  • Data Analysis: Gather and analyze engineering data, producing comprehensive cable reports.
  • Engineering Assignments: Develop detailed designs for HVAC/HVDC systems, including static and dynamic components.
  • Problem Solving: Propose innovative solutions to engineering challenges using established methodologies.
  • Design Optimization: Review and enhance design, routing, installation, and commissioning processes.

Project Involvement

Your projects will encompass:
  • HVDC Interconnectors
  • HVAC Interconnectors
  • Offshore Windfarm Projects

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:
  • A degree in Electrical/Electronic/Power Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional qualifications in Electrical Engineering (e.g., CEng Chartered Engineer).
  • Experience with software tools for engineering analysis and reporting.
  • A solid understanding of HVAC and HVDC transmission principles.
