Position Summary:

The successful candidate will take charge of managing the planning, execution, tracking, and reporting of new product development and lifecycle management projects. This role requires collaboration across various departments, including R&D, Operations, and Commercial teams, to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the New Product Delivery Lead to guide the Core team, ensuring accountability for project deliverables throughout the New Product Development lifecycle.
  • Effectively manage and deliver high-priority, technically complex projects, ensuring timely completion within the agreed scope.
  • Facilitate a coordinated approach to New Product Development by working with cross-functional project teams.
  • Develop comprehensive work plans that outline necessary activities and resources for successful project completion.
  • Coordinate with technical teams to integrate technical workstreams into master schedules.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress to senior management and adjust schedules as necessary to ensure success.
  • Establish evaluation criteria for project completion and identify potential roadblocks, developing strategies for resolution.
  • Select and manage project staff with the appropriate skills and competencies.
  • Ensure compliance with Design Control, CCR, and business processes, including preparation for Gate reviews.
  • Document project activities and maintain organized project files.
  • Implement a communication plan to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Conduct risk review sessions and develop mitigation plans with cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure that the quality of work meets company standards and that all project personnel receive proper orientation.

Candidate Profile:

  • A University Degree in Engineering, Science, or Computer Science is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing new product development projects within the regulated medical device sector.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Proven track record in team development and fostering a positive team culture.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
  • Thorough understanding of medical device development standards and regulations.
  • Proficient in project management software tools (e.g., MS Word, MS Project, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, MS Outlook).

Qualifications:

  • BEng, BSc, or higher; MBA is desirable.
  • Project management certification (Prince II, PMP, APM) or equivalent experience.
