Role Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for steering the project management lifecycle, including planning, execution, tracking, and reporting for new product development and lifecycle management initiatives. This role demands effective collaboration across various departments such as R&D, Operations, and Commercial teams to ensure seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the New Product Delivery Lead to guide the Core team, ensuring accountability for project deliverables throughout the New Product Development lifecycle.
  • Manage and deliver high-priority, technically complex projects, ensuring timely completion within the defined scope and plan.
  • Facilitate a coordinated approach to New Product Development by working with cross-functional project teams.
  • Develop comprehensive work plans for assigned projects, outlining necessary activities and resource requirements.
  • Coordinate with technical teams to integrate technical workstreams into master schedules.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress to senior management and adjust schedules as needed to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Establish evaluation criteria for project completion and identify potential roadblocks, developing mitigation strategies through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Select appropriate staff with the necessary skills for project activities in consultation with senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with Design Control, CCR, and business processes, including preparation for Gate reviews.
  • Create and maintain documentation for project activities, ensuring all information is secured and accessible.
  • Implement a communication strategy to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Conduct risk review sessions and develop mitigation plans to effectively manage project risks.
  • Ensure the quality of work produced by the project team meets organizational standards.
  • Orient all project personnel to the organization and project specifics.

Candidate Profile:

  • A University Degree in Engineering, Science, or Computer Science is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing new product development projects within the regulated medical device sector from concept to market launch.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build effective relationships across various levels of seniority.
  • Proven track record in team development and fostering a positive work culture.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of medical device development standards and regulations.
  • Proficient in project management software tools (MS Word, MS Project, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, MS Outlook).

Qualifications:

  • BEng, BSc, or higher degree; MBA is desirable.
  • Project management certification (Prince II, PMP, APM) or equivalent experience.
