About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Technical Project Manager to join our team at ConvaTec. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of new product development and lifecycle management projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership to cross-functional project teams, ensuring successful project delivery within agreed scope, timing, and budget.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, identifying and sequencing activities to ensure successful project completion.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure technical workstreams are planned and integrated into master schedules.
  • Provide regular project updates to senior management and stakeholders, revising schedules as needed to ensure successful project completion.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Manage compliance to design control, CCR, and business processes, ensuring rigorous adherence to our IDEAL process.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including forms, records, and work to document project activities.
  • Establish communication plans to update stakeholders, including risk review sessions and mitigation plans.
  • Ensure project personnel receive an appropriate orientation to the organization and project.
About You:
  • You will hold a University Degree, preferably in Engineering, Science, or Computer Science.
  • Proven experience managing new product development projects in the regulated medical device space from initial concept through commercial launch.
  • Proven experience forming effective working relationships and stakeholder management with colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • Strong experience in developing teams and establishing ways of working that support a great culture and team ethos.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Thorough understanding of Medical Device development standards and regulations.
  • Strong proficiency in project management software tools and applications.
Qualifications/Education:
  • BEng, BSc, or Higher, MBA desirable.
  • Project management qualification (Prince II, PMP, APM) or equivalent experience in project management.
