Position Summary:

The successful candidate will take charge of project management activities, including planning, execution, tracking, and reporting for new product development and lifecycle management initiatives. This role requires effective collaboration across various departments, including R&D, Operations, and Commercial teams, to ensure seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the New Product Delivery Lead to guide the Core team, ensuring accountability for project deliverables throughout the New Product Development lifecycle.
  • Manage and deliver high-priority, technically complex projects, ensuring timely completion within the defined scope and plan.
  • Facilitate a coordinated approach to New Product Development by working with cross-functional project teams.
  • Develop comprehensive work plans for assigned projects, detailing necessary activities and resource requirements.
  • Coordinate with technical teams to integrate technical workstreams into master schedules.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress to senior management and adjust schedules as needed to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Establish evaluation criteria for project completion and identify potential roadblocks, implementing solutions through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Select and manage project staff with the appropriate skills and competencies.
  • Ensure compliance with Design Control, CCR, and business processes, including preparation for Gate reviews.
  • Document project activities through forms and records, maintaining organized project files.
  • Develop a communication plan to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Conduct risk review sessions and create mitigation plans to effectively manage project risks.
  • Ensure the quality of work meets company standards and provide orientation for all project personnel.

Candidate Profile:

  • A University Degree in Engineering, Science, or Computer Science is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing new product development projects within the regulated medical device sector.
  • Proven ability to build effective working relationships and manage stakeholders at various levels.
  • Strong team development skills and a commitment to fostering a positive team culture.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of medical device development standards and regulations.
  • Proficient in project management software tools (MS Word, MS Project, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, MS Outlook).

Qualifications:

  • BEng, BSc, or higher; MBA is desirable.
  • Project management certification (Prince II, PMP, APM) or equivalent experience.
