Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Test Lead to join our team at Sanderson on a contract basis. As a Test Lead, you will be responsible for leading the testing efforts for our London Markets / Speciality insurance business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the testing efforts for our London Markets / Speciality insurance business, ensuring that all testing is completed to the highest standards.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, including unit testing, systems integration testing, quality assurance, user acceptance testing, and other testing activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and third-party development teams to ensure that testing is completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Deliver test plans and associated traceability matrices to support complex initiatives and mentor and support business end-user testing.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including senior management, to ensure that testing is aligned with business objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in testing and quality assurance.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Senior Test Lead with a comprehensive understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Recent London Market / Speciality insurance testing experience.
  • Good knowledge of on-premise, SaaS, and Cloud-hosted environments and associated CI/CD deployment methods.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of all stages of testing, including unit testing, systems integration testing, quality assurance, user acceptance testing, and other testing activities.
  • Knowledge of underwriting business functions, supporting business operations, and previous exposure to, or experience within, the Lloyds insurance market and insurance underwriting and/or broking systems.
  • Proven experience in test planning and execution with internal teams, vendors, and/or third-party development teams, either on-shore or off-shore.
  • Strong analysis, consultation, communication, and presentation skills and ability to influence the direction and thinking of senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server Management Studio, exposure to automated test tools, and test development skills.
  • Knowledge of Agile practitioner capabilities and experience working in Agile teams is preferable.
