Job Summary

Spire Healthcare is seeking an experienced Senior Radiographer to fill the role of Deputy Radiology Manager. This position will involve leading the radiology team in the Imaging Department, working closely with the Head of Department and Director of Clinical Services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion and inspire the radiology team to deliver high-quality diagnostic images and services.
  • Help plan, allocate, assess, and provide feedback to team members.
  • Support and maintain the effective use of physical and financial resources.
  • Implement and monitor working processes and policies.
  • Manage the radiology team to ensure accurate staffing to meet patient need and demand.
  • Develop a working environment and culture that actively improves health, safety, and security.
  • Ensure strong understanding and implementation of IRR and IRMER regulations within the hospital.
  • Enable people to exercise their rights and promote equality and diversity.
  • Manage effective relationships with Consultant Radiologists.
  • Take responsibility for clinical governance and audit in the department.
  • Undertake clinical duties as required and participate in the departmental on-call rota.

Requirements

  • BSc Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent.
  • Significant post-qualification experience as a Senior Radiographer/Team Leader.
  • Experience of leading teams, supervision, and mentoring.
  • Ability to think analytically and problem-solve.
  • Experience in RIS/PACS and IEP system management.
  • Evidence of ongoing and relevant CPD.
  • Strong knowledge of IRR and IRMER legislation.
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills and excellent organization skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.
  • Passion to deliver high-quality diagnostic images and services.
