Job Summary

Spire Healthcare is seeking an experienced Senior Radiographer to fill the role of Deputy Radiology Manager. This position will involve leading the radiology team and contributing to the department's clinical and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the radiology team and provide guidance on clinical and administrative matters
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with the Head of Department and Director of Clinical Services to achieve departmental goals
  • Participate in the on-call rota and undertake clinical duties as required
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with Consultant Radiologists and other stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with IRR and IRMER regulations and implement quality improvement initiatives
  • Manage the effective use of physical and financial resources
  • Develop a working environment and culture that promotes health, safety, and security

Requirements

  • BSc Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
  • Significant post-qualification experience as a Senior Radiographer/Team Leader
  • Experience of leading teams, supervision, and mentoring
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in RIS/PACS and IEP system management
  • Evidence of ongoing and relevant CPD
  • Strong knowledge of IRR and IRMER legislation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
