About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual to join our team as Deputy General Manager of the Radiology Clinical Service Unit (CSU). As a key member of the CSU triumvirate team, you will play a vital role in supporting the General Manager and Head of Profession in delivering business, workforce, and financial planning across the CSU.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead and manage the management teams of the CSU, developing and implementing local strategic plans and ensuring achievement of performance objectives.
  2. Work with the Triumvirate Team to provide operational business management and planning support across all specialties within the CSU.
  3. Evidence of on-going professional development.
  4. Promotes a culture of equality, mutual respect, and diversity.

  • Advanced report writing skills.
  • Successful operational management at a middle/senior management level.
About Us

Leeds Teaching Hospitals is a leading teaching hospital in Europe, providing specialist treatment, biomedical research, and local hospital services to over 1.5 million patients each year. The Radiology Clinical Service Unit delivers a diagnostic and treatment imaging service for over 600,000 patients annually within a budget of £71m.

The CSU employs a diverse workforce of over 850 employees across multiple disciplines, including medical, nursing, radiographers, and administrative staff. As a Deputy General Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the management teams of the CSU, developing and implementing local strategic plans, and ensuring achievement of performance objectives.

You will work closely with the Triumvirate Team to provide operational business management and planning support across all specialties within the CSU. This will involve making judgements involving highly complex facts or situations, which require the analysis, interpretation, and comparison of a range of options.

The successful candidate will have advanced report writing skills and successful operational management experience at a middle/senior management level. They will also promote a culture of equality, mutual respect, and diversity within the CSU.
