About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the radiology team, working closely with the Head of Department and Director of Clinical Services. Key responsibilities include:

  • Championing and inspiring the radiology team
  • Helping to plan, allocate, assess, and provide feedback to team members
  • Supporting and maintaining the effective use of physical and financial resources
  • Implementing and monitoring working processes and policies
  • Managing the radiology team to ensure accurate staffing to meet patient need and demand
  • Developing a working environment and culture that actively improves health, safety, and security
  • Strong understanding of IRR and IRMER regulations implementation within the hospital
  • Enabling people to exercise their rights and promote their equality and diversity
  • Managing effective relationships with Consultant Radiologists
  • Taking responsibility for clinical governance and audit in the department
  • Undertaking clinical duties as required and participating in the departmental on-call rota
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • BSc Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
  • Significant post-qualification experience as a Senior Radiographer/Team Leader
  • Experience of leading teams, supervision, and mentoring
  • The ability to think analytically and problem-solve
  • Experience in RIS/PACS and IEP system management
  • Evidence of ongoing and relevant CPD
  • Strong knowledge of IRR and IRMER legislation
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills and excellent organisation skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
  • Passion to deliver high-quality diagnostic images and services
