Head of Radiology Department

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced diagnostic radiographer to lead our Radiology Clinical Service Unit (CSU) as the Head of Profession. As a compassionate leader, you will be responsible for delivering an efficient, safe, effective, and high-quality radiographic imaging service.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional leadership and management of radiographers, sonographers, clinical technologists, assistant radiographic practitioners, and radiographic assistants across the CSU.
- Establish and foster effective working relationships with the CSU Clinical Director and General Manager to lead improvement in imaging, service delivery, and achievement of organisational priorities.
- Ensure all imaging services are delivered to agreed quality standards, providing patient-focused services and promoting clinical excellence.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care, service delivery, and staff engagement.
- Collaborate with senior medical staff and other stakeholders to drive clinical innovation and excellence.
- BSc in diagnostic Radiography or equivalent, with current State Registration (HCPC).
- Specialised clinical training to Masters level or evidence of practical application of expertise at this level.
- Post-graduate qualification in a leadership/management programme/study or evidence of practical application of expertise at this level.
- Significant experience of middle/senior management level in a complex organisation.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development and commitment to undergo all training requirements of the post.
