About the Role

Thorn Baker Construction is seeking a highly skilled Senior Bid Manager to join our team. As a Senior Bid Manager, you will play a crucial role in converting new business through innovative bid proposals, managing a team of bid writers, and assisting with financial growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of bid writers and support them in developing bid strategies
  • Develop and implement bid strategies to secure new business opportunities
  • Manage the bid process from start to finish, including bid preparation, submission, and evaluation
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to identify new business opportunities and develop innovative solutions
  • Manage timelines and deadlines for bid submissions, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed on time
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients and suppliers
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to improve bid strategies and outcomes
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in bid management, preferably in the construction and facilities management industry
  • Strong understanding of the facilities management market and the ability to develop innovative bid strategies
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
