Paper Purchasing Manager

Harrison Scott Associates is seeking a skilled Paper Purchasing Manager to join our client, a leading publishing powerhouse. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in the sourcing and management of paper for all monochrome printings in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:- Paper Forecasting and Procurement: Develop and implement effective forecasting and ordering processes to ensure sufficient paper stocks, driving efficiency and cost savings throughout all aspects of paper management, procurement, and supply.
- Team Management: Lead a small team, driving their development and efficiency, and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Knowledge Sharing: Share expertise with internal Production and Inventory Management teams to support their understanding of their roles within the overall paper buying process.
- Annual Paper Tenders: Provide detailed analysis for annual paper tenders, ensuring the best possible outcomes for the company.
- Paper Sourcing: Research and source new papers for production requirements, improving quality and/or commercial competitiveness.
- Sustainability: Collaborate with the Sustainability Production Manager to ensure environmental considerations are adhered to throughout paper management and purchasing.
Requirements:
- Industry Expertise: Knowledgeable about the book paper industry and deemed a supply chain expert for paper.
- Technical Skills: Adept with Excel and data analysis.
