Control System Engineer Opportunity

Samuel Frank Associates is seeking an experienced Control System Engineer to join their team in Cumbria. As a Control System Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the engineering team with PLC and control system fault finding, rectifying system faults, and identifying root causes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the engineering team with PLC and control system fault finding and rectification
  • Identify and address system faults, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance
  • Develop and maintain site electrical drawings and schematics
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to deliver Continuous Improvement projects and process enhancements
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with control systems, including PLCs and necessary contingencies for failure or upgrade
  • Design and implement new PLC programs and software updates as required
  • Support the maintenance team in maintaining plant and equipment to agreed standards
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming and control systems
  • Experience with COMPEX knowledge (desirable, but training will be provided if needed)
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics (desirable, but training will be provided if needed)
