Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join our Control and Instrumentation team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex integrated process control systems, providing specialist advice, and producing evidence to support legislative, safety, and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake functional design of complex integrated process control systems, providing specialist advice and producing evidence to support legislative, safety, and technical requirements.
  • Liaise with internal and external customers as part of the technical team.
  • Articulate and present technical arguments clearly, logically, and simply.
  • Execute, evaluate, deliver, and manage complex engineering and/or cross-functional tasks or programmes of work, recognizing stakeholder and customer requirements.
  • Lead and develop a small team of Control and Instrumentation engineers.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for personal/team development to ensure that professional capability of the business and individual are maintained and improved.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) degree or equivalent qualification and experience within an engineering background.
  • Demonstrable experience of engineering lifecycle phases and technical specialities.
  • Significant experience producing and communicating design documentation and artefacts relating to Control Systems.
  • Experience developing solutions to meet complex technical requirements in a highly regulated industry/environment.
  • Obtained or capable of obtaining relevant Professional Registration (CEng).
