Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Power Systems Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems (Powersource). As an Electrical Power Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and managing an engineering team to deliver the functional design and definition of Electrical Power Systems equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the processes and reviews of technical documentation
- Manage associated technical risks, assumptions, and dependencies
- Provide advice on electrical power technical aspects across a broad range of engineering disciplines
- Engage with customers and suppliers to provide solutions to complex problems
- Take a leading role by guiding the team through the systems definition process
- Provide leadership and mentoring of more junior team members to ensure the necessary capability and skills development
Requirements:
- Degree qualified Electrical Engineering or equivalent Engineering background
- Engineering Chartership required (or equivalent experience demonstrated)
- Significant knowledge of AC and DC electrical power systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Team Leadership experience
