Job Opportunity: Electrical Engineer

CITIC Pacific Mining Management is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Cape Preston. As a key member of our Power Plant Operations team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance on the commissioning, operation, and maintenance of our state-of-the-art power station.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical advice and support to the OMT team on electrical system operation, protection, and control.
  • Develop and implement maintenance and overhaul procedures for electrical equipment, including generators, transformers, switchgear, and circuit breakers.
  • Conduct regular inspections and testing of electrical equipment to ensure compliance with Australian Standards and statutory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Superintendent - Electrical Engineering to develop and implement asset management strategies and procedures.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the maintenance team on equipment operation, maintenance, and repair.
Requirements:
  • Current WA Drivers Licence.
  • Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent with at least 2 years' experience in an engineering environment involved in Power System design, commissioning, operation, and maintenance.
  • Sound knowledge of electrical engineering, electrical system operation, protection, and control.
  • Professional knowledge of generator, transformer, switchgear, circuit breaker, electric motor, VSD, CT, PT, protection relay, etc.
  • Relevant knowledge of Australian Standards/Practices and statutory requirements relating to the position.
