Job Title:

Electrical Power Systems Engineer

Location:

UK-wide, with opportunities to travel to various locations, including BAE, customer and supplier sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and manage an engineering team to deliver the functional design and definition of Electrical Power Systems equipment.
  2. Manage technical documentation and associated risks, assumptions, and dependencies.
  3. Provide advice on electrical power technical aspects across a broad range of engineering disciplines.
  4. Engage with customers and suppliers to provide solutions to complex problems.
Requirements:
  1. Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or equivalent engineering background.
  2. Engineering Chartership required (or equivalent experience demonstrated).
  3. Significant knowledge of AC and DC electrical power systems.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  5. Team leadership experience.

About the Role:

As an Electrical Power Systems Engineer, you will be part of the Electrical Power team responsible for leading a team of engineers in defining the system elements required to feed into the submarine design and build process. This role will provide you with an opportunity to work on the UK's next-generation SSN design, incorporating technology from the UK, Australia, and the United States.
