BAE Systems is seeking a talented Electrical Power Systems Engineer to join our Submarines Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, testing, and commissioning the largest and most advanced submarines ever operated by the Royal Navy.

About the Role

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and modelling complex systems, components, and products, as well as supporting build, test, commissioning, and in-service operation. Your expertise will be applied to areas such as Power System Architecture, Protection and Co-ordination, Earth Fault Monitoring, Modelling (Simulation and Analysis), and Operation.

Key Responsibilities

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developing power systems, including power generation and distribution
  • Modelling and analysing complex systems to ensure optimal performance
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Providing technical expertise to support build, test, commissioning, and in-service operation
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to be on track to obtain a 2.2 in your Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering. You must also be returning to university to complete your degree.
