Samuel Frank Associates is seeking an experienced Control System Engineer to join their team in Cumbria. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the engineering team with PLC and control system fault finding, rectifying system faults, and identifying root causes.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the engineering team with PLC and control system fault finding and rectification
- Identify and address system faults, including root cause analysis
- Develop and maintain site electrical drawings and schematics
- Collaborate with the engineering team to deliver Continuous Improvement projects and process improvements
- Assess and mitigate risks related to control systems, including PLCs and necessary contingencies for failure or upgrade
- Design and implement new PLC programs and software updates as required
- Support the maintenance team in maintaining plant and equipment to agreed standards
- Desirable skills in COMPEX knowledge and hydraulics/pneumatics
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
