Job Title: Control and Instrumentation Engineer - Systems (Shore Integration Facility)

Location: Barrow-in-Furness (Tuesday - Thursday on site). We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of integration, testing, and validation of complex systems within the Submarine.
  • Develop and manage requirements and accepting criteria for systems or products.
  • Support documentation for design review process, including diagrams, technical specifications, and design evidence.
  • Test documentation and execute to ensure solutions satisfy associated requirements.
  • Support activities to develop learning.

Requirements:

  • Relevant Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent qualification and engineering background.
  • Keen and willingness to learn and develop skillset.
  • Knowledge of Mathworks toolsets, particularly in control system models development.

About the Team:

The Capability and Capacity team is a new forward-looking team looking to draw on past experiences and emergent technology to develop innovative test environments. The team will work closely with various stakeholders to achieve goals of proving software solutions and their interfaces meet requirements, ensuring a safe product is developed.
