Job Title: Senior Engineer - Nuclear Safety Regulation & Interface

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Providing expert support, guidance, and advice on nuclear site license, authorization, and environmental permits to relevant business teams to ensure compliance with statutory and contractual obligations.
  2. Influencing business management arrangements and ways of working to ensure effective regulatory compliance.
  3. Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, directors, and regulatory authorities.
  4. Opportunities to contribute to other parts of the team and drive business growth.

Requirements:

  1. Proven stakeholder management experience, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders, including contractors and directors.
  2. Excellent technical writing and persuasive argument skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports and documents.
  3. Experience in providing technical advice and guidance to business teams.
  4. Ability to understand and interpret complex regulatory requirements.

Desirable:

  1. Experience working in a high-hazard regulated industry, with a strong understanding of nuclear safety and regulatory requirements.

About the Team:

The Nuclear Safety and Regulation Department oversees nuclear regulation for the site, providing specialist advice to the business on nuclear safety and site licensing. We offer relocation support across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
